A Girl nan is call Sayarlay in Myanmar language. The event occurs when one wants to do merit on Buddhist ceremonies or when one wants to be purified doing good merits for her parents and for herself. The period depends on one's desire of how many days he or she wants to being ordained or some event depends on the traditional rule of periods according to different ceremonies.
